Day 1 : Delhi - Haridwar [230kms/6hr] After hearty breakfast drive to Haridwar. Haridwar is considered as the gateway to the four pilgrimages in the Uttranchal region. It is situated on foot hills of Shivaliks and on the bank of the river Ganga. This major pilgrimage centre is well connected by trains to all the main towns of India. Upon arrival at Haridwar, Swagat Tours Representatives will greet and assist to transfer to the Hotel. Later, visit to Har-Ki-Pauri, to experience 'AARTI" in the evening. Transfer to hotel for overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 : Haridwar - Rishikesh [24 kms/ 30 min] Complete day at leisure to travel around this spiritual & religious town of the river Ganges. Visit Laxman & Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, etc. Overnight will be at Hotel. Day 3 : Rishikesh to Rana Chatti/ Hanuman Chatti [240kms/7hr] Drive to Rana Chatti/ Hanuman Chatti.Upon arrival Swagat Tours Representatives will assist you to transfer to the Hotel. Overnight will at Hotel. Day 4 : Rana Chatti/ Hanuman Chatti - Yamunotri - Rana Chatti [5kms by Road & 13kms Trek (one side) ] Start trek to Yamunotri & Back. Hanuman Chatti : The confluence of Hanuman Ganga & Yamuna River. Yamunotri Temple : Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was ruined twice in the present century and rebuilt again. Surya Kund : There are number of hot springs in the locality of the temple, which flows into several pools. Surya Kund is one of the most important kunds of these thermal kunds. Divya Shila : Ii is a rock pillar. It has its own significance. It is worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.
Day 5 : Ranachatti - Uttarkashi [143kms/4hr] Drive to Uttarkashi via Barkot. After arrival Swagat Tours Representatives will assist you to transfer to the Hotel. Day 7 : Gangotri - Uttarkashi [100kms/3hr] Drive back to Uttarkashi and full day leisure to travel arround the town of Uttarkashi. Overnight stay will be in Uttarkashi. After arrival Swagat Tours Representatives will assist you transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay will be at Hotel.
Day 8 : Uttarkashi - Rudraprayag [175kms/6hr] After early breakfast, drive to Rudraprayag. After arrival Swagat Tours
Representatives will assist you transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay will be at Hotel. Rudraprayag : It is the confluence of river Mandakini and river Alaknanda. Temples: Rudranath and Chamunda Devi, Koteshwar Temple (3 Kms). Day 9 : Rudraprayag to Gaurikund [75kms by road] Drive to Gaurikund, Overnight at Hotel. Gaurikund : It is hot water pond at a distance of 5kms from Sonprayag and at an altitude of 1982 meters, one can take bath in the hot water pond here and visit the Gauri Temple. This is the place where Goddess Parvati meditated to attain Lord Shiva. It is the base for a trek to Kedarnath. Kedarnath : The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva, the protector and the destroyer. Lrgend says that the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for salvation. He eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. On being followed he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. The remaining portions of Lord Shiva appeared at four other places and is worshipped there as his manifestations. The arms appeared at Tungnath, the face at Rudranath, and the belly at Madhmaheshwar and his locks (hair) with head at Kalpeshwar. Kedarnath and the four above-mentioned shrines are treated as Panch Kedar.
